Hey Marcus,

Long time no talk. I hope you are well. I am home for a while. Getting ready for our son to arrive in October. We should hook up one of these days. Let me know when you get a free moment. Looking forward to catching up.

Ciao,
Steve

MJ, Great work yesterday (as
always). Paul called your

Was just remembering this night http://atlantapromusic...13753 right after I tried to cut my own hair and CL said I looked like an assassin and also that GIANT tuba!

I bet that was a thrill :-), Steve Allen was a very interesting/funny man, a bright star indeed. I was just barely a teen when he came on board with American Radio & Appliance as a spokesperson and my father owned the ad agency. Steve did commercials for several years for them. The first time I was introduced to him in the studio, I asked him if he would put on a concert at the Orange Grove Institute for Mental Retardation where I was volunteering in the summers...and of course, I think my Dad was mortified. Stranger than fiction, Steve immediately said yes...and he did. It was really something...a very memorable occasion :-) I've marked my calender for both of your dates. Thanks for taking the time to respond:-)

Very interesting Marcus. Our family was good friends with Steve Allen and we hosted him many times in our home. One of my biggest regrets, having been on the music scene here in ATL for 28+ years is that I never got see see King Johnson. Ken Gregory has been in my band for 16+ years or so and of course, I've heard your CD's etc. but I just haven't been able to hook up for one reason or another and I know I really missed something special. Maybe we could get you to sing and play with us sometime? I'd really love that!
