- About Me
- Jazz guitarist, music copyist (Finale), and singer. Excellent reader, works and plays well with others!
As a soloist, I sing and play classics from the Great American Songbook. I also perform these great jazz songs as instrumentals, writing my own solo guitar arrangements. I play with Duo Savannah, a flute/guitar duo that performs classical, folk, and jazz arrangements (I write the folk and jazz arrangements). Although I'm mainly a jazz player, I also play with the Allen, Vinton, and Godfrey trio, performing original songs that combine rock, jazz, blues, and soul in three-part vocal harmony. I sub frequently with the Atlanta Swing Orchestra, a 17-piece big band, and I play guitar in the Red Wine Jazztet (an octet).
I recently formed a jazz quartet, On the Cool Side, with guitar, piano, bass, and drums, plus vocals. We begin rehearsals in late July, and I'm really excited about this project!
