- Hello Laura.............Yes, we found 3 greatstudios thanks to your help and a few others. We are also buying a recorder to record our LIVE sound. We are at it every weekend, and more often than not, that is where we are at our best. - Laura Simon is a singer/songwriter, rhythm guitarist who plays locally throughout Georgia,at festivals and clubs as THE LAURA SIMON BAND.
Constantly repeating yourself is part of what being a star is all about. Always changing, improving, improvising and performing her original tunes, they have evolved into some excellent songs, catching the public ear.
Relying on her strong, rich vocals, Laura personifies the amalgam of confidence, authority and grace under pressure. Add a dose of with and charm, and you have the quintessential southern female musician, clawing her way to the middle of the southern music scene.
Chronically under-rated, her grey eminence on the Atlanta music scene flourishes as she strives to give her fans and audiences what they expect, deserve and perhaps, need.
She currently has two albums available for purchase at Barnes and Noble at the Mall of Georgia, "Force of Nature", 10 original Americana hits, and "Rode Hard and Put Up Wet", classic cover tunes, always "Simonized", and two original blues tunes."Force of Nature" has recently been released nationally by Barnes and Noble, and can be purchased at any store in the United States! She is presently in the studio working on her newest adventure, "BEACON OF LIGHT-a showcase of southern talent", 10 original hits, two of them remakes of songs on Rode Hard and Put Up Wet with different arrangements, one mostly instrumental. This album features 13 of the most talented, veteran musicians on the southern scene. "Beacon of Light" will be released summer, 2008, and all three albums will be released nationally this summer.
