I've lived and worked in Chicago, San franscio, Houston and Atlanta. I've also been blessed to be a Grammy Awards, Handy Awards and Just Plan Folks Award Nominee. In addition I've done some major TV work, Movie, live stage play apperences and recorded for two record companies. I'm currently the founder and CEO of the Georgia Legacy Foundation Inc. Nappy Brown Death

For those Blues artist who don't know, the great Nappy Brown passed away on Sunday September 21 in
Charlotte NC. Nappy was like a father to me and I'm deeply sadden by his passing. The author of "The
Night time is the right time" he was a gentelmen and a true Bluesman. He will be missed but never replace.

I will try and catch the Allstars Athens seems to be the happening place for clubs You need to check out the Melting Point kind of reminds me of the Agora and Capri Ballroom with a bad ass sound system and theatrical seating. I remember playing in Nashville back in the 70s when we opened for Electric Lighthouse Orchestra and Charlie Daniels was out in the audience. I know they have some nice music stores

I have been playing with Laura Simon and some other fill-in gigs around. We have played a few gigs downtown but the ATL scene seems dead. I played a gig at Carusos in Dahlonega a couple weeks ago and had a great audience who enjoyed the show. I went over to Athens last Friday and saw a friend play at the Melting Point which is a nice concert venue. What are you up to ?

Hi, Sammy,
It was GREAT fun sitting in with you and the guys the other night at Crystal's. Had a blast and you are the BEST! I hope to see you with your band soon. Please let Steven Charles know how blessed I felt singing with he and the others as well. He is one Bad man on horns.
Take care, man. I'll be seeing you again.

Sammy, thanks for checking in. The Jukes do mostly West Coast and Texas style swing with some traditional blues thrown in. Our originals lean towards roots rock and jump blues. Not much funk or soul.
