About Me
My main website is at: http://www.offworldhome.com/

Too old to rock and roll, too broke to retire !

Channeling Leroy Neiman. Yes, I know, he's still alive but . . .
I did the freaky artwork but the photo credit goes to David Hobbs.

I'VE GOT SOME TUNES ON HERE. SCROLL DOWN TO LISTEN.

About the song, "I Can Let Go Now". As a native Atlantan I guess I can't
deny a bit of country influence. This particular recording was a wild hair
that I got one night late after I had recorded my first ever country lyric for a tune Bryan and Marvin had written.
I don't usually put up tunes I didn't write but I'm not selling or performing this one for pay so I hope no one has an issue with it's presence here.
Thanks for the help Marvin.
I guess I'm not the only one putting copy-written material up so I'm going to sneak a couple more in. It's not like I'm making any money off of them.
A couple songs I sang on, A Salty Dog, is an old Procol Harum tune
which some of you may remember.
On this one I played all the tracks and sang.
On People Gotta Move, the Gino Vannelli tune the tracks are very good MIDI tracks Wes turned me on to. I just used my sounds and sang the lead and BU vocal tracks.
Late night, nuthin to do.

Through The Frame - is a work in progress.

Symphonic Poem is is also just a part of something I hope to finish someday.

Twilight is the theme for the next James Bond film. He he

Algonquin and Circo Pazzo are both compositions I did back in around "96". Sample libraries have improved greatly since then. Unfortunately all of my original MIDI tracks got lost somewhere so what you hear is what you get until I decide to re-orchestrate all the pieces. Something that probably won't happen any time soon, if ever. I'd rather write new stuff.

My stand on on government. Lib-er-tarian . I think we need less government and fewer laws. Bad government and apathy are killing this country. Kinky Friedman, now there's the type of guy we need running our state, Texas too. c);<{)-

The derivation of the word "Politics". Poly, meaning many and tics,a form of blood sucking parasites.
There you have it.

Oh Yeah, about me. I'm a Saxomophoniczendruminsingartist.
Say that 3 times fast and then try it backwards and message me if you need somebody who does that.
I like Jazz. I don't really play any but I like it. I listen to a lot of jazz, in fact that's about all I listen to but although the stuff we play in Java Monkey has a lot of jazz influences, what we do I classify more as R&B. Paul Desmond was my inspiration to pick up a sax. Milt Jackson was my inspiration to take up vibes. I lost them somewhere in the seventies. David Haney was my inspiration to
strap on a Zendrum and I quietly thank him regularly that I no longer have to carry around a huge clanking bag of tambourines, cabassas and
shakers of every shape and size. Now I just carry a back breaking bitch of a road-case to play through. Life is full of fun little trade offs.
So it is, we respire to perspire to aspire to inspire before we expire.

Hey Michael,
I was thinking about our stint with bertie higgens the other day. Did you know he went to prison for a while? And when he got out he played a pirate in some movie his son was involved in. Pretty wild, huh? My brother updates me from Tampa. Hope you are well.

It made my night getting to hear ya'll. It's been a long time. I've got to quit playing on this computer so much @ night and get back to hearing/supporting good live music. Ya'll have such a distinctive sound, great groove, excellent vocals...a tight band. Hearing you made me sad for the old days...for all my friends/great musicians who have passed like Ray Honea, Randy Lewis, Simon Carter, Phil Berry...the days when bars were packed and music lovers couldn't get enough. What can we do to get people interested in live music again, what will it take? Hey...I posted the funny video of the lady wiping out the horn section...go to the video page for good laugh. We'll see you soon at Zuffy's.
