Solo acoustic guitarist/singer needs a new gig a couple of nights a week. Mexican restaurants or neighborhood grills, etc....www.dennisjonesmusic.com. Somebody throw me a line if you know any place I can call.

I too played this venue as a solo acoustic act. The audience loved me as did the staff. The German lady insulted me when I spoke with her on the telephone a few days later. Needless to say I never played there again.

hey thanks for the comment...well took a brief break from music to take a job as an art dealer, which didn't quite work out 4 me , so here I am getting back to what I love which is music...not playing quite as much as I like but doing a little producing & writing & just trying to stay busy..peace, Kenyon

Dennis: Thanks for getting back to me. I checked your site out. When I first came to Atlanta, I visited Woody's on Rt78 Snellville. It was probably called something else back then... I am thinking it was around Jan. 1994. I recall the band was Ron Kimble and he was sitting in a chair playing Cocker's version of Help From My Friends. Any chance you were in the band at that time?

Yeah, I will be there. You really ought to come! It was a little sparse last year but I understand it gets bigger every year. Brook is such a sweetheart and considers me part of the family since we have the same last name.....coincidence?...you decide!

Thanks Dennis. I see you've been working pretty steadily---that's a good thing!
Hey, I only check this weekly, so if you don't hear from me right away I'm just in between check ins....

Dennis: But of course if any of ya'll want to have a pick-n-holler session somewhere, I'll knock the dust off the tele.

About Me
I've been playing guitar and singing in Atlanta for many years with some of the finest pickers in the free world. I'm living my dream playing music and entertaining appreciative audiences all over. Nowaday's it's acoustic solo gigs and playin' with friends just havin' a ball. My beautiful wife, Karen and I will celebrate our 37th year together next month. She's the best. She let's me play music AND I get to sleep in the big bed (most nights). She's a keeper. I began this musical journey... I think it was 1966. I saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show and that's all it took. I've played with quite a few Atlanta bands including The Groove Movement, The Funky Soul Train, Micropolis, The Alleykatz Band and Men In Blues. I'm giving my Telecaster a break right now while I do the acoustic thing. But of course if any of ya'll want to have a pick-n-holler session somewhere, I'll knock the dust off the tele.
