Hello again everyone.
I've been dormant on this page for a while but not because I'm not busy but quite the contrary. I hope everyone is giging during these slow times. Being a partner/agent/manager of The American Flyers I've had to renegotiate a few contracts myself but we've been blessed with a good calendar.
Most of you that know me also know I've been teaching drums for 29 years and counting. I just released a DVD and work book called "Practical Drum set". I ran some TV ads on it and although sales are slow (like all sales of anything) it's still only 4 months old.
My approach and goal is to make drumming fun while still giving the student a good undrstanding of the musical language. How many of us teachers have heard a student say "I just want to jam not learn a bunch of notes?" After they experience frustration I give them a spoon full of theory with a progressive approach to thinking like a musician. Making it fun and getting to the "musical" part is what I've tried to do with this method. Feel free to dial my site up and see the free samples on line. The book and DVD can be ordered on line and any feed back would be welcome. It is a BEGINNER method not a chop demonstration. I have a follow up text on the way for more advanced students.
