About Me

I have been a drummer since 1965, when I joined Ogie and the Ougots. I was selected for All State in 65, 66, and 67. I attended Jacksonville State University where I played snare in the drumline and was 1st chair in the Symphony. After JSU I was the singer for the Groove Movement. I played drums in several Atlanta Bands such as Micropolis, Kudzu, and Bandit. Then I went on the road with B J Thomas after which I joined NRG. In 1991 I started teaching at The Atlanta Institute of Music. I continued playing. I joined The Brothers Brooks Band in the 90's and toured 7 countries in Europe. In 1995 I becane the drummer at Mt. Paran North Church of God, and I'm still playing there. Now I am the head of the Drum Program at AIM, and I play with some of the Oldies, such as The Platters, Charlie Thomas' Drifters, Cornell Gunter's Coasters, The Marvelettes, The Crystals, The Toys, The Legendary Singers of Motown, Billy Joe Royal, Mitch Rider, The Tokens. and whoever needs me.

I'm not gigging anywhere at present, except my basement where I play lead drums with my iPod and EWF, Yellowjackets, Mariah Carey, ABB, you name it - the whole cavalcade of stars.

Keep me in mind if you need a sub sometime.
