About Me

Camilla Sanders has spent the past decade swinging audiences on the east coast from Florida to New York. Originally from Daytona Beach, she attended the University of North Florida's renowned school of jazz and moved to New York City. In New York City she hosted weekly live jazz and jam sessions at Langan's New York in Times Square for four years.

Camilla now resides in Atlanta with her husband, pianist Kevin Sanders and their son Jonah. In addition to performing with her jazz group, she has served as pianist and music director for various theater and church projects.

I went down there, it was raining but cleared up just as Ken's group went on. I got some video and then left for my gig at 2:30. Geez, I've been sleeping in parking lots all afternoon. I've got to slow down.

Hey Camilla, I am going to Inman Park Fest, I have to leave at 3:00 to get to Gwinnett for a 4:00 hit. I'm going to video tape the band. Everyone is meeting at 800 East Studios at 11:00 for the ride over (I'm a bumpkin and don't know my way around the 'hood down there, so if I'm not completely wiped out from our Birmingham gig the night before I'll be there at 11:00.) Half of Ken's band will be on my gig Saturday night....we get back to ATLaround 3:30am. We'll all be draggin our wagons.....

The contempo jazz band that I work with, Solid State is playing at the Inman Park Festival this Sunday from 1-2pm on the Delta Stage. Swing by and say hi, if you make it down there. There are lots of great local artists performing all day long. I've got to bust out of there quickly to get to another gig, but would love to say hi, if you make it down. Maybe you can talk Jeni into going. She's a special lady, a great bandleader, singer, player, and A LOT OF FUN!!!
