Guys check out this new site that a local city council Man did for me and the Blues Musicians of Fayetteville! LOL
This thing is really taking off and I still wish to encourage you all to do the same thing and play for the people rather than in bars where you don't get paid anything and maybe a handful are listening. I love what I have created and people are truly taking notice. I perfromed at the Library the other day for a Fourth friday celebration and played in front of 357 people!!! My upcoming 5th Annual Local Artist Blues Show case always has a full house with over 400 or more. Miss you all and will see you all very soon in the big A........
Long live the Blues and the folks who play it!

Some enhancements are good but less is more. All the necessary nuances have always been at the finger tips of the masters.

No offense but Spreaders and slingers try to stretch the boundaries beyond 'Traditional' .
Fact:
BB king can play on clean note for 16 bars and blow away a crowd of 10,000.

I don't always use pedals but I have a board with about 9 pedals on, It was hinted that " Dat Ain't Da Blues"
But The Blues is in my Blood ans Soul, so I just put some cream on top. :)

Hello, dear friends

I am hosting the 5th Annual Local Artist Blues Show Case at the HQ Library in Fayetteville on 9 August. I have singlehandedly been able to do all the leg work and the hosting of these shows since 2005. This thing is now getting so big that we need a bigger venue to house all the guests and listeners. The Library System has been the perfect and cost free venue to bring local Blues Artists together in one show and to show the public who their local Blues Musicians are. If any of you would be interested in starting a similar project in ATL can contact me. I have already spoken to the Fulton County HQ Library last year and they were ready to let us perform there with a like show case as here in Fayetteville. The media will east this up and you all will get huge coverage out of these events.
Sending you all the very best wishes and hope everyone is jamming!
PEACE, Claudia

The Chicken Raid is an annual benefit honoring the late Atlanta country blues legend Mr. Frank Edwards (1909-2002). Proceeds from this event will be shared between the Edwards' estate and the Sean Costello Memorial Fund for Bipolar Research. This two-day music festival features a range of local and regional talents -- headliners for Saturday night include the Music Maker Blues Revue, and Sunday kicks off with acoustic gospel performances, before culminating in Sunday night’s special all-star tribute to Sean.

Confirmed artists for this year’s event include Captain Luke, Robert Lee Coleman, Essie Mae Brooks, Beverly ‘Guitar’ Watkins, Roy Lee Johnson, Eddie Tigner, Albert White, Frankie Lee Robinson, Barry Richman, Chicago Bob Nelson, Bill Sheffield, Sol, Lola, Ike Stubblefield, Fatback Deluxe, Rough Draft, John Paskoff, Liz Melendez, Uncle Sugar, Maddy Moneypenny, Skye Paige, Chickens and Pigs, Julea Thomerson, Mudcat, Breeze Kings, Rough Draft, Jon Liebman, Charlie Wooten, Soul Shakers, Little Brother, Ross Pead, Tony Bryant, Deacon Reeves, Husky Burnette and the Terry Flynn Band.

A community website has been designed for this event, featuring footage of Mr. Edwards performing his classic tune 'Chicken Raid.' Please visit myspace.com/thechickenraid.
Food will be available for purchase.

Frank Edwards left home at 14 and played guitar and harmonica alongside Tampa Red. As World War II approached, Edwards joined seminal Mississippi bluesman Tommy McClennan and headed North, recording eight sides for OKeh in 1941 with Washboard Sam. After being discharged from the Army he cut two songs for Regal in 1949. He continued playing on street corners, juke joints and restaurants before hitting the festival circuit during the folk revival. Thanks to Pete Lowry, Edwards released his first full album "Done Some Travelin'" in 1972 through Trix. When not onstage, the iconic "Mr. Frank" was a familiar face at the clubs, supporting other blues musicians in Atlanta. He quietly passed away on his return home from a recording session in North Carolina for the Music Maker label.
