Nope - been using a Roc-n-Soc w/a backrest) for the past 10 years. I did check the Soundseat site out and it seems like a nice throne, however. Does anyone carry them locally?

Also use Roc-noc it can save you from the hemmorhoid blues

I've had one for a few years now, and I love it. I can't remember the last time I had a sore butt, even after six hours of playing. I got just the seat to go with my existing throne, but I'm about ready to get the rest of the throne to go with it.

Highly recommended, and don't be surprised if the guy calls you a few week later to make sure you're really happy with it.

The soundseat is acquired from the manufacturer. I spoke to him. A very nice man, was willing to send me one to try and was genuinely interested in my plight of spinal injuries and chronic pain and trying to help to alleviate that pain with the use of his seats. They were built originally for another purpose then as an after thought, drummers. I decided on the Roc N Soc for two reasons. 1. lighter and easier to transport, 2. smaller. We discussed the pros and cons of the seat and my existing physical limitations as well as my posture on the throne. (drum throne that is) We decided that the Roc N soc would be better. He did not try and push his seat on me. I think the sound seat, as expensive as it is may be a great seat, but now that I have one, the Roc N Soc, (recommended to me by our friend, inspiration to me and mentor to many, Creig Harber), I recommend it to everyone that sits down.
