Bill, it certainly can be used for online practicing. I even thought it could be used better in the teaching category also. As far as practice "the real thing" I don't know if latency issues could be overcome but in general working out A sections and B sections and so on alot could be done with this app to scoot ideas along so that when you "actually" get to practice you have a readiness of what to workout.
