Atlanta Professional Musicians

Connecting Atlanta Musicians

I played an interesting gig today for a Doctor who is a leading pioneer
in the field of laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery. His specialty is prostate cancer and he is also a hobby musician (aren't all Doc's? Ha!)
Any how, he asked me if I might pass the word that he is looking for musician-cancer survivors to record on a motivational project/organization he is developing and this may (further down the road) involve some live performances. He wrote a nice tune and he has some big people behind him i.e. David Foster

Hey Jeni,

I am not a cancer survivor but my father passed away from lower esophageal cancer that spread to his liver 2 1/2 years ago and I would be honored to participate in something like this to honor his memory. Please give him my info and let him know I would be interested.

Take care,
George

Thanks George, I'll pass this on. I've had several wonderful musicians respond and I'm sure Dr. Miller will be very excited. I doubt he'll really dig into this for the next 6-12 months. He's in the process of forming an organization to support men's awareness of prostate cancer by incorporating music and technology. He has an interesting vision and he wanted to use survivors....he said all cancer survivors in general would be considered but I think he would really like prostate cancer survivors because of his expertise and mission. I believe he's got the cred's and the backing to do anything he wants.
